I don’t know about you but I’m the person that sees the infomercial or the gadget on a “Top 200 Gadgets” list and wonders “just how great are these gadgets?”
Can those scissors really cut through a penny?
Are those containers airtight AND waterproof?
I mean, some of the claims they make are incredible! But I have found a few that do exactly what they say from our crepe maker to my sink squeegee.
So over the years, I’ve amassed a small collection of kitchen gadgets that DO live up to the hype. Here are 10 kitchen gadgets that are worth their weight in gold and all under $30 on Amazon!

I showed this to you guys the other day and I'm completely hooked. It cooks 7 eggs at once, has a bunch of different functions, and they peel like a dream! You can also get a double-decker egg cooker that is also under $30! I still love to use my Instapot but this is just for eggs and frees up my pressure cooker for other jobs.
I gotta admit - I hate liquid measuring cups. Or I did, before I got some of these. They make measuring and pouring liquids a DREAM! I got mine from a friend's website but she's been sold out since the last time I told you guys about them. They don't drip, the liquid doesn't run down the outside of the cup, and they make cooking and baking a breeze!
I kinda love this gadget. Almost any recipe you can find here on my site has me using this tool at some point! It makes cutting vegetables, eggs, fruits, or really anything that needs to be cut uniformly so simple! It has a ton of plates you can switch out so you can cut into small pieces or large. But they all come out the same size and it's amazing!
I keep this baby hanging on the lip of my countertop that overhangs my sink. It allows me to sweep crumbs into the sink, squeegee excess water, get clippings and food into the garbage disposal, and keep my sink clean. It takes two minutes to make sure the surface and sink area are clean!
I've been asked a few times about this and it's one of my favorite kitchen items! A butter keeper/crock is such a smart idea! It's a small bowl with a handle that you fill with butter that you store upside down in a dish filled with about an inch of water that helps create an airtight seal. It keeps your butter fresh and soft enough to spread easily on toast.
We love crepes in this house (you can check out the food tab above for our recipe) and we make them often. This crepe maker is a dream and making the perfect crepe every time is a synch. You just pick the hot pan up and dip it in the batter to perfectly coat it and it cooks it all the way through. You don't even have to flip it. If you love crepes as much as we do, this should definitely be a kitchen tool you own!
If you want perfect pancakes every single time, this is for you. You could actually use this for so much more (perfectly portioned cupcakes anyone?). You can mix your batter right in the container and it portions out the same amount for each pancake with a simple squeeze. Store the excess in the container by placing the cap on and sticking it in the fridge. It makes pancake-making one of the simplest and cleanest meals you'll make!
Keeping one of these babies in the kitchen will ensure that you've got perfectly cooked chicken, medium-rare steak, and the perfect creme brûlée every time. Cooking food to temp ensures that your food turns out, every time, without the worry of over or under cooking.
We all have those kitchen items that aren't dishwasher safe and they've got to be dried by hand. This can be a long, drawn-out process and can result in a bunch of excess water on the countertop. This rolls out, extends over the length of your sink, and allows all of that excess water drop into the sink where it's supposed to go. It's also awesome for placing fresh produce that you're washing.
