Wow! October came and went so fast but we’re getting into my favorite time of year! And even though we only traveled to Disneyland this month, it feels like we were gone all month long.
One of the things Layla and I treat ourselves to when we travel for business is Disneyland. Sneaking in a few hours of ride time is one of our favorite things to do but this year we decided to take our families to Disney for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party – SO MUCH FUN!
And I didn’t have to spend much on costumes! The great thing about living in Utah is that there are so many families that are my same size and I was able to borrow most of these adorable Alice In Wonderland costumes from someone on Instagram! So rad huh?! I plan to do a full blog post on this Disneyland trip covering where to stay, what to eat, and how to save money!
LDS General Conference was also this month. It’s where the leaders of our church speak to all members about updates, plans for new temples, and it’s a time for us to reflect on our faith. We drag that mattress with us every time we travel because it’s super durable (I’ve never had to patch a hole), it has a lip so your kid never rolls off, and it blows up in less than a minute!
It was this girl’s birthday this month and I’m one more year away from having a teenager! Can you believe it? Gosh, when did all this happen?
Braun read the list Emery had put together for her birthday and read ‘honey comb’. Being the awesome dad he is, he went to the store and bought like 10 boxes of Honey Comb cereal…he failed to see that Emery had written ‘fresh’ honeycomb – her face was priceless! But Braun, being the super dad he is, went out and got her some FRESH honeycomb – this girl was in heaven!
I’m so thankful for this family of mine. As we grow and get older, it’s so fun to see their personalities develop and become even more defined. And as we move into the next holiday months, I promise to keep up on links for you! This month was a little nuts as retailers were giving awesome prices on some of my favorite things and you guys keep asking for the links so I’ve put them all in one place!
From the flat iron that I can’t live without to the $6 sports bras that have sold out and been restocked like 3 times over, I’ve rounded them all up and put them below!
Hope your October was as fun as mine!
