Gifts Under $25

I, like everyone else I know, would love to get away with giving gifts that are less than $25. But when you look at what’s available, it seems an impossible task.

So, I went through the things I love that I’ve either gotten as gifts, purchased for myself, or have in my cart at Amazon.

I hit the jackpot!

I’ve got a list of gifts down below for the recipe junkie, the busy mom, the game-obsessed, the teacher you love, and more.

Christmas doesn’t have to be expensive. And it doesn’t have to be expected. And let’s be realistic here: as you get older, gifts tend to get more practical. But that doesn’t mean they’re boring or not needed!

The gifts below are all amazing in their own right and will make the recipient feel like you know them well!

Gifts Under $25
1.
INFRARED TEMPERATURE READER
FOR THE GRILL MASTER
OK, this thing is apparently the bomb.com for cooks, car repairmen, lazy pet owners, and anyone else who wants to know the temperature of something at the drop of a hat. The distance to spot ratio is 12:1, which means you can measure the target at a longer distance. You can apply this tool in cooking, barbecuing, auto maintenance, home repair, or other tasks around the house. And for that lazy pet owner, it can also be treated as a cat/dog toy with a red laser dot. You're welcome

TOE SPREADERS
FOR ANYONE IN YOUR LIFE WHO WANTS BETTER BRAIN ACTIVITY...AND FEET
Braun's mom read an article somewhere that people with a correct toe spread had better brain activity...or something like that. And since Braun is pretty smart, I'm buying it hook, line, and sinker. But toe spreaders also help with foot & toe pain, ailments & deformities. They enable natural arch support, prevent overpronation & ankle sprains, improve blood flow to your plantar fascia, restore proper sesamoid bone orientation, give your body the most stable possible foundation, encourage the development of your intrinsic foot muscles, allow you to become the best possible athlete you can be, enhance your balance, weight distribution, proprioception & dexterity, AND make your feet stronger, more resilient & better able to support themselves. So if anyone in your life is sick of supporting their feet, this gift is for them.

THE LOST ITEM FINDER
FOR THAT PERSON WHO MISPLACES THINGS
We love them. We pick up after them. And we tell them that their glasses were on their head the entire time. We all have that person who loses things...keys, wallets, kids (no judgment). But this handy device allows them to tag those things they misplace the most and track them on their phone (if it's not also lost). They will thank you and you'll save hours NOT looking for their missing items.

These are the best. No joke. I keep these things around EVERYWHERE! I keep them in the kitchen, office, car - you name it and I probably have one there. POPCORN POPPER
FOR THE FAMILY WHO NETFLIXES AND SPENDS TIME TOGETHER
This is a winner for those who love to curl up and watch their favorite shows. Yes, you can just pop a bag of popcorn but this is so simple to use and freshly popped popcorn is way better than the crap stuff. This container stores flat (yes, it's magic) and will help you make the movie popcorn of your dreams. And it's inexpensive! Give this to a family, a teacher, a friend with a bottle of kernels and an iTunes gift card! You can't go wrong with this one.

THE ULTIMATE SPY GAME
FOR THE GAME ENTHUSIAST
This is such a fun game and so good for small get-togethers. Two rival spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents. Their teammates know the agents only by their codenames. The teams compete to see who can make contact with all of their agents first. Spymasters give one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the table. Their teammates try to guess words of their color while avoiding those that belong to the opposing team. And everyone wants to avoid the assassin. It's fun to be sneaky and try and catch your opponents unaware!

NOTEBOOK
FOR THE WRITER OR DOODLER
I love a notebook with dots instead of lines. It allows for more free-form note taking or the errant game of dots and boxes. It has a pocket on the inside cover for additional note keeping and an elastic on the binder to hold your pen. The paper is incredible quality, it is super thick, very smooth, and a lovely cream color. The dots are not too dark and not too light, and blend in when your page is full!

ONE QUESTION A DAY JOURNAL
FOR THE PERSON WHO NEEDS TO KEEP BETTER RECORDS
Honestly, I used to love keeping a journal. Emery and a friend of hers found some of my old journals from when I was pregnant with Dash and they were so fun to go back and read through. I wish I had stuck with it. I'm making it my goal in 2019 to keep a journal once again and I love the concept behind this one. If you haven't kept a journal before or find the task daunting, this is for you or a loved one. This asks one simple question a day and all you do is fill in the answer. You've got a whole page to give your answer but no pressure to fill in the entire thing. And it's good for 5 years. Long enough for those people in your life to master the art of record-keeping. I love this idea for kids and family as well!

HIMALAYAN PINK SALT LAMP
TO SOOTHE AND KEEP THE MONSTERS AWAY
I love the light that these give off and I think they make a fun night light but there are some that claim that the negative salt ions released by heating can boost blood flow, improve sleep, increase levels of serotonin in the brain, and calm allergy or asthma symptoms. Whether you believe it's a simple lamp or a cure-all, I think your recipient of this gift will think it's as gorgeous as I do!
