Not gonna lie, I was seriously laughing at everything we’ve purchased. If you didn’t know us or have a backstory, our purchases this month look like the basket of someone who is late-night shopping at a CVS. Batteries, water, shingles-cream, and gum…we got it all.
In June we purchased a second home in St. George and lucky for me, it came 99% furnished. But none of the little things were included: dish towels, straws…you know, the things you don’t know you need until you need them?
MY HOUSE PICKS
A quick note: If you have a kid who is potty training or one who is still wetting the bed at night occasionally, this MATTRESS PROTECTOR is a game-changer and will save your mattress and linens.

The other thing we did right away was double our subscription items from Amazon so we had enough for both houses. If you haven’t taken advantage of or don’t know about Amazon’s subscription options, you should definitely check them out. You can set the frequency of how often shipments are sent and you save money with every purchase. And it’s nice because sometimes things get so hectic that I forget to shop for staples and they’ll magically show up on my doorstep and save me from myself! Things like batteries, gum, and filters are on our list but they have so many more. You can check out their pantry subscriptions HERE. And here are a few of the things we get each month:

I grabbed a few items for myself in July and picked up some old favorites. These animal-print biker shorts have been an awesome purchase for $22. I also snagged Dash some water socks because his feet get torn up and I’m convinced all kids should wear them. They prevent them from slipping etc. I also got a bunch of questions about my gel polish and have linked my exact color. I like this brand because you get a gel polish + a traditional nail polish the exact same shade!
MY PERSONAL PURCHASES
These black bikers are a great staple if you’re looking for different lengths. They come in 8″, 5″, and 2″ inseams!

Along with our increased time spent in St. George has been bumps, bruises, and scrapes. But I guess that’s to be expected when we’re now spending 97% of our time outside and I wouldn’t trade it for anything! Here’s what we got to help us survive a bit better in the desert! We also picked up some other odds and ends this month. Oh, and if you want a fun way to get rid of bugs that is just as satisfying as the salt-blaster, you need to get these bug-zappers!

I picked up few more of these battery chargers. They have all the cords you need regardless of device and carry quite a few charges. + they plug right into the wall!
This is a new tech item I’m trying out. I ordered it this month and have been surprised how much I’ve used it! So far, so good.
