We all know Our Place by now.. If you’ve been here, I’ve been sharing my love for them for years at this point. The Always Pan has been a game changer in my house (I’ve yet to try the cast iron version but I hear it’s awesome). You’ve seen me use it countless times, talk about it even more + gosh, I truly just love it. Then came the Perfect Pot.. and I feel the exact same about that. There’s nothing I’d rather make my GF soups in, cook a sourdough round in or make my famous gooey caramel corn in! Don’t get me going on the plates, cups, bowls, knives, and cutting board….. But you guys.. they’ve done it AGAIN! I’m so stoked to show you guys how dang versatile their OVENWARE SET is! It launched TODAY!
It’s an absolutely awesome 5 piece set, in their top selling color ways to start! It comes with a 5QT Cast Aluminum Roasting Pan (The Oven Pan), 3 Ceramic Bakers – Main Bake, Side Bake & Tiny Bake, and 1 Silicone Baking Mat. Can I tell you how much I LOVE that ALL of my main kitchen items match?! How many of you can say that?? It’s one of my favorite features of Our Place. The recipe I made didn’t require use of the Oven Mat, but I did want to point out that is a nonstick surface (helllooooo cookie baking!), replaces parchment paper or tinfoil, and those little squares are 1″ exactly, so it doubles as a way to measure! Of course, the very first thing I made was our family’s favorite — Lil Luna’s Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas!
The Oven Pan can be used for baking, roasting, crisping and cooking PLUS it can be used as a griddle on gas or electric stoves (and hellooooo to the cutest charcuterie board when the oven mat is in!?). The Oven Pan has Our Place’s exclusive PTFE- and PFOA-free ceramic nonstick interior and the 3 Ceramic Bakers have a naturally non-stick glaze.. that means easy cleanup! All of the dishes are oven-safe to 450 degrees F. My favorite feature though?? Look at them nest together for easy storage!
This recipe goes 0 to messy real quick, but man, it’s SO good.. My kids devour it.. To start, combine the chicken, cheese, green chiles, salt and pepper in a small bowl.
This Ovenware set has made making this recipe way easier! First, non-stick is crucial.. but also, it requires multiple dishes to be used! The Baker was the perfect size for the next steps in the recipe, without taking up the main Oven Pan! You’ve got to bring the enchilada sauce to a boil and remove from the heat. You don’t want it still boiling hot for this next step, so I find it the easiest to pour into another dish.
Each tortilla shell has to be dunked into the warm sauce to heat them up a little bit. They should NOT fall apart.. if they did, sadly, your tortilla shells are probably super cheap ones 😂 and you’ll have to use the microwave.. They’re WAY better dipped in the sauce. I promise, splurge on good tortillas. I get corn tortillas – they’re gluten free! 🙂
I like to call this next step fill + flip! Put the softened, dunked tortilla in the Oven Pan and spoon ⅓ cup of the chicken mixture and 2 tablespoons of sour cream down the center (get the squeeze sour cream.. trust me ha).. Then Flip it over so the seam is facing the pan! I usually let the next tortilla soak/soften while I’m making one. So I pull one out and immediately put one in before I start filling the first!
Once you’ve filled the Oven Pan, dump the excess sauce on it, top with cheese + bake for 20 minutes. Fun fact about the Oven Pan: it is made from aluminum which is 3x more conductive than cast iron. That means it heats up way faster and EVENLY! It worked way better than my old baking dish! If you’ve got a crowd to feed, you can also fill up the bakers and double the recipe!!
That is IT! Super simple. You can prep up to 24 hours in advance and store covered in the fridge before baking, or they freeze REALLY well. Lil Luna’s recipe, the first time I used it, said to make a double batch and freeze half before baking them off + I’ve done that a few times before leaving town. They really do freeze great and they’re really easy to heat! If you freeze, to cook: thaw in fridge overnight + cook 25 minutes!
I wish I would’ve filmed clean up.. it was SO dang easy with their nonstick + I’m so grateful I didn’t have to spend time scraping melted cheese off my Oven Pan. The Ovenware set is the perfect complement to my Always Pan and Perfect Pot, plus all of the other Our Place kitchen goods I’ve got. They keep getting better and better.. can’t wait to see what’s next! 🙂 They’re a mission-driven cookware company that is both woman and immigrant-owned.. they’re always looking to reduce their carbon footprint and I love supporting a business like that.
