When it comes to beauty items, there are a few that are definitely worth the splurge. But you want to know my favorites?
They are the ones that I use daily, don’t break the bank, and that I can pick up at my local Walmart!
You may not think of Walmart as a “Beauty Destination” but it has quickly become my ‘go-to’ for the products that my family and I use the most!
They are products that I’ve had as long as I can remember. And the thing is, as many times as I find another product that says it does the same thing, I always come back to these tried and true favorites.
So I partnered with Walmart to bring you the beauty favorites from Walmart that I don’t want to live without!
1) IT’S A 10 MIRACLE LEAVE-IN PRODUCT
Emery’s got insane curls happening. I have horsehair. We have hair issues at our house. But It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Conditioner makes it all a little more manageable.
It claims to do 10 things (hence the name): repairs, adds shine, tames frizz, protects color, detangles, prevents split ends, curbs breakage, softens, boosts body, and protects hair from heat.

Here’s how:
- Silk amino acids: Repair hair
- Panthenol: Tames frizz, repairs hair, detangles, prevents split ends, and protects hair from heat
- Cyclomethicone: Tames frizz, adds shine, and protects color
- Camellia sinensis leaf extract: Curbs breakage and softens hair
This leave-in helps to detangle dry, damaged hair, as well as adding softness. It works for any texture.
2) CERAVE HYDRATING FACIAL CLEANSER
If you’re looking for a ‘best-of-beauty’ cleanser that won’t put you in the poorhouse, I definitely recommend CeraVe. It’s actually the cleanser I keep on hand at all times. It’s got hyaluronic acid (something I look for in most of my skincare) and was a winner in Allure’s 2019 Best of Beauty Awards!
It’s also awesome for temperamental skin. It’s gentle enough to be used daily and won’t dry out even the most acne-prone skin!

3) SAUVE DRY SHAMPOO
I love the fancy stuff but in a pinch and for everyday use, I love this dry shampoo. It doesn’t irritate my scalp. And it doesn’t dry it out. It also doesn’t leave a chalky residue or make my hair sticky.
I buy these in the 2-pack and keep them in the girl’s bathroom and guest bathroom. And they refresh limp, dead hair in a pinch! Just part your hair and hold 8-12 inches from the head and spray directly on your roots to revive!
4) WELEDA SKIN FOOD
I don’t know what they put in this stuff but it is amazing for your skin! This is what Emery uses as her moisturizer at night and we use it anytime the kids have any sort of skin irritation. It’s ultra-hydrating and all-natural.
In fact, when you go to Germany, this is the lotion you see EVERYWHERE! And it’s amazing and made with good ingredients. I definitely recommend trying it out!
5) CASTOR OIL
Castor oil is one of those things you can find at our house year-round. And while it’s used for a ton of stuff, I mainly use it to promote hair growth! I’ve been told by many estheticians and beauticians (do we still call them that?) that castor oil is the 1 thing you should use religiously on your eyebrows and eyelashes to keep them growing long and healthy.

6) GOT2B GLUED SPIKING GEL
If you’ve got little boys (or big boys) and need something that doesn’t flake, it water-resistant, and will hold all day, this gel is calling your name!
7) Dr. Bronner’s Citrus Orange Pure-Castile Liquid Soap
Dr. Bronner’s is a fantastic all-purpose soap that we keep on hand. It can be used for everything from washing a body to washing a dish. It’s all-natural and made up mostly of essential oils! They have a ton of lovely scents. Use it to refill the soap dispensers in your bathroom or just under your kitchen sink.

8) MAGIC ROOT COVER-UP
I feel like I should preface this one by saying “use with care”. I literally left an entire orange streak in my hair using this stuff! But if used properly, this stuff will SAVE YOU in between visits to the salon.
Loreal’s Magic Root Cover Up comes in a bunch of different colors and is a temporary hair color spray that works on any hair texture or type including synthetic hair. It takes 3 seconds to conceal your overgrown roots with this light-weight, quick-dry formula that doesn’t leave any smudges or sticky residue when dry. One application will last until your next shampoo, plus it’s ammonia-free, peroxide-free, and contains no synthetic dyes.
9) MILANI CHEEK KISS
I was actually looking for a cheek and lip product that was less expensive than some of my other favorites. But that would still pack a punch. Milani Cheek Kiss is hyperpigmented but can also go on with beautiful transparency.
It’s available in quite a few colors but I would recommend going in-store (rules permitting!) because you’re going to have a lot more color options.
This is a one-tube-wonder and can pitch-hit in a pinch as blush, eyeshadow, or a lip tint!
10) DR TEAL’S EPSOM SALT SOAK
If you’ve ever had sore muscles or just really wanted to unwind in a bath, there is nothing better than adding Epsom salt. It’s a great source of magnesium and can also be taken internally.
Whether you’re a believer or not, Epsom salt is believed to help in salt baths as a home treatment for many different muscle and skin ailments!
