Regardless of where you are this fall, your back-to-school shopping list might be looking a little bit different than years’ past. But different doesn’t mean boring! Some of you might even be wondering if there’s any point in shopping at all when all we seem destined for is a fall season full of Zoom, loungewear, and inside voices.
And knowing that shopping is by no means a cure-all, I can’t even tell you how much my kid’s spirits were lifted as we went back-to-school shopping. There is no denying the power of a new purchase to shake up our outlook for the better. Whether it’s a fresh new face mask, an upgraded lunchbox, masks, or school supplies that create smiles every time they’re used, there’s probably something to put some pep back in your kid’s step as they prepare for their new norm!
Here is a look at our favorites!
Let Accessories Do The Talking
The thing my kids were most excited about this year are the accessories we picked out! And we are doing a combo of online learning and paired-down school so we wanted to get things that they would look forward to using regardless of location!
This kid was so excited to get everything ‘SPIDER-MAN’. And I know that he’s going to have a blast this year using all of his new gear!

Tween Approved Separates
If your kids are at the ages of my tweens and soon-to-be tweens, they don’t get as excited about a cute lunchbox. But they went crazy over the different T-shirts, sweatshirts, and other separates they found! Another way to help you kids have fun with a new school year is to try a new look. Switch up hairstyles, get a new cut, try different accessories, or try a new style!

And just in case you were hesitating, it’s not too early to be shopping for warmer pieces! Schools typically keep the air down and fall is right around the corner. Continue creating awesome experiences and excitement with sweatshirts and long-sleeve pieces that let their personalities speak!
And don’t stop there. Have fun with masks, like these super fun ones from Disney! Make homemade beaded lanyards or get creative with lunches at home. Whatever you do, make this year a unique and fun adventure.
