My Favorite Suscreen

Whether the destination is Paris (I posted Part 1 of my Paris trip with Layla which you can read HERE) or you’re headed to a secluded East Coast retreat with the hubs, a peek inside the luggage of anyone traveling to someplace warm will reveal a treasure trove of swimsuits, easy throw-on dresses for dinner, the perfect cover-up . . . and, of course, SPFs in all shapes, coverage levels, and sizes.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I love the skin I’m in and I have more than one tanning machine that I keep close at hand to give myself a goddess glow. But I do this because I’m adverse to the real thing. I want my skin to stay beautiful for MANY years and that means choosing a sunscreen that not only protects my skin, but that keeps it healthy.

It’s by far the most important part of my beauty and beach routine—and a daily essential. Luckily there’s now a wealth of ray-fighting formulas to choose from natural, plant-based, chemical-free, or those extra-potent ones for long days in the sun.

And don’t worry, this isn’t the goopy stuff you slather on your kids (you may even want to rethink what you’re putting on them!). The ones I’m telling you about here are new foolproof formulas on the market—antioxidant-packed products that repair skin while fighting harmful rays, lightweight options that won’t mess with an already applied makeup look, affordable choices so you don’t have to ration it to ill-prepared guests and friends, and readily accessible ones that will have you enjoying the sun without feeling it’s punishing after effects!

So check out my selections below and find out which ones aren’t oily, the ones I use on my face and my everyday go-to that keeps me sun-kissed all year round!

My Top SunScreen Picks
1.
All Around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk
Missha
My go-to. This is one of the two Missha sunscreens I keep on hand. It does not leave any greasy or sticky residue, white cast, or shine, and it goes on a bit like a primer. If you read some of the reviews on Amazon (141 5-star reviews) some people say they skip primer if they use this on their face.
