This year, shopping for the girls felt really overwhelming. They’ve got one heck of a vibe + it seems most in-store shopping has only caught up when it comes to clothing.. School supplies are such a fun way to make school FUN and personalize your items. I know when I’m opening up a journal or notebook who’s cover makes me happy, I’m much more likely to enjoy using it + my girls are totally the same way. This took a little more thought for ordering purposes, but I found the PERFECT artist designed notebooks, journals + pencils for my girls at Shutterfly and I hope it makes back to school a little more exciting for them. {I ordered some stuff for myself too.. because it’s darn cute}. I mean.. have you seen cuter notebooks?! They come in either 5″x8″ or 8.5″x11″ and there are hundreds of prints to choose from.. if the 70s/retro vibe isn’t your thing, I promise they’ve got a print you’ll absolutely love in there. The smaller size has 150 pages, and the larger has 80 – 1 subject, college ruled paper – so they fit what they school is asking you to grab for your kids. For the big size, the front and back covers each has a pocket for storing loose papers + every notebook is 3 hole punched so they’ll fit in a binder if necessary. The pages are all perforated for easy tear out, too! So either way, if teachers requested loose paper, this will do 😉
Here’s a size and style comparison for the two sizes of notebooks! The Smiley Face is the 8.5″x11″ size.. and the Floral Print is the 5″x”8 size. Depending on what your kids have for classes might depend on what you grab.. my girls are like me and doodle to stay focused sometimes.. so that will be the primary use of the small one I bet, and the bigger ones will be for classes! 🙂

Something else we use all of the time in our house are journals.. every single one of us. Braun, the girls, me, the boys.. Each of the kids started with a mommy + me journal to just kind of get the feel of it and learn the importance and what could go in it on a day to day, but since, the girls have kind of our grown that. These cute Artist Designed Journals available at Shutterfly are an awesome way for the girls to have a more personal journal. They’re 6″x8″ (see the pic above vs. the large size notebook) and the binding and pattern wraps all of the way around it, and it has a fabric string bookmark. They would also be perfect for day to day task note taking for school!
One thing I want to mention is that if you find a artist designed pattern you really love at shutterfly.. you can type it into the search bar and it will bring up every single product available in that print! Lots of them come in plates, cups, pillows, blankets, notebooks, journals, etc.. it would be perfect for teen bedrooms or setting up a new college dorm or new apartment when you can’t really decorate a whole lot — but small things like these really make it feel personal. “Alexa, how many days until summer break?” 😂 I thought I was pretty clever there + I hope they appreciate my humor.. haha. I know they’ll all be thinking it, especially on the first day of school. In hindsight, I really wish I would’ve ordered some cute sayings on some pencils to slip into my kids bags every now and then. I still might!!
It seems like every single month, Shutterfly continues to add products they’re partnering with independent artist to create and I LOVE that. I’ve now grabbed notebooks, journals, outdoor pillows, dinner and desert plates and platters.. and I’ve just barely scratched the surface at what’s available. Every single product I’ve gotten has been super high quality, and SUPER CUTE. The selection and variety is huge + it makes it possible to truly transform your space into what YOU want.. not based on what’s available on the shelf of a box store.
