Top Links: June

I can’t believe we’re already a month in summer! Seriously, it feels like my kids just got out of school.

I remember as a kid thinking that summer went by in a blink. But as an adult, I haven’t really felt that way until the past couple of summers. They seem to go way too fast and we don’t end up doing half the things we have planned

However, I am going a bit stir crazy this year. We usually plan some type of escape towards the end of the month of July and we don’t have anything planned. But I’m embracing it and we’ve had a ton of fun so far!

June’s links are Father’s Day heavy but I had so much good content last month that I wanted to show you some of the ones that almost made the top 10!

For those of you still looking for a gift for the guy in your life that will be a sure winner, you should definitely check out my Father’s Day gift guide! This is the list to end all lists and a bunch of you told me it saved you at the last hour! Haha – I’ve been there so I’m glad I could help!

Our garden is the best and worst thing I’ve done in the yard. The best because we get the best tasting strawberries through the summer, along with a lot of other fruits and veggies. The worst part? Pulling the weeds. But, the good definitely outweighs the bad and you guys must agree because I get asked about the garden daily.

I apologize, I don’t have links for our planter boxes because we had someone come out and build them for us. But I would go to a site like HomeAdvisor and type in what you want to be built. The site is full of tradesmen, woodworkers, welders, plumbers – basically any home improvement or fix you need and you’ll be able to find someone on there to do it! There’s also a great video on YouTube that shows you how to build your own raised-bed planters. You can make them really inexpensively!

CLARISONIC FACE BRUSH

I tried out a brand new exfoliator and makeup primer from my favorite skincare brand, TULA, and I’m really loving both! If you want more information on both you can read about them HERE. Bottom line? I think I’ve found the holy grail of holy grail primers! I got mine a few weeks ago and have been using it and I’m a HUGE fan! And this exfoliator is the one I’m using 1-2 times a week!

Ok, I know I’m not supposed to have favorite posts or whatever but I loved putting this haul together for you guys. And you loved it too! I won’t relist everything here because I linked everything in the original blog post (too good to miss) AND in yesterday’s Weekend Update. Go check em out – totally worth the read!

One of the easiest ways to instantly switch up a room is to switch out accessories – everyday items that you see and use the most. This could be a laundry basket, a lamp, a rug – things that tie a room together but if changed, would instantly make it feel different. I put together an entire blog post documenting my recent shopping trip with the girls at WalMart and the macrame basket set that I instantly fell in love with from Drew Barrymore Flower Home (plus some other goodies!).

If you’re looking to refresh a space and have it be affordable, look no further!
