Winter Outfits to Get You Through The New Year

Christmas, so the song tells us, is “the most wonderful time of the year”. But it can also be a period loaded with stressful expectations like picking the perfect gift for your in-laws. Don’t even get me started on the days in between Christmas in New Years where I’ve got to figure out meals, after-Christmas-chaos, entertainment, work…it’s a lot.

But, I’m coming in clutch with something extra handy because the 1 thing you shouldn’t have to worry about is your wardrobe for the next 2 weeks! So I’ve put together outfits that you can wear on repeat whether you’re lounging and watching your favorite Christmas movie or hitting the shops at City Creek. Regardless of the activity, I’ve got you covered.

SWEATSHIRT | JOGGERS (similar) | SHOES (similar)

A good sweatsuit is a must for the ultra-relaxed holiday. I swore I’d never be one of those moms who wore sweats and have been trying to talk Dash out of his for the past year. But after getting my own, I’m a convert! These ones are from Walmart and you guys completely sold them out! But I’ve linked a few more of my favorite pairs below:

CHENILLE TOP (similar) | CHENILLE PANTS (similar) | SLIPPERS

If joggers aren’t your thing (I get it!) then slip into your favorite chenille set. It’s soft (we’re talking Barefoot Dreams Blanket soft) and doesn’t look frumpy. I picked this set up in-store at my local Walmart and you probably can, too! I can’t believe they don’t have it online yet.. the brand is SECRET TREASURES and my store had a ton in about 5 color options! If you don’t have any luck or any patience (Christmas crowds are THE WORST) try one of my chenille favorites linked above!

PLAID SWEATER | LEOPARD-PRINT SWEATER | JEANS | SHOES (similar)

If you aren’t living in sweaters this winter, you aren’t living! There are so many good options out there and these are just of the few I picked up on my last trip to Walmart. I’m telling you, their offerings have totally improved this last year and I’m loving brands like Time and Tru and Scoop! My whole outfit above didn’t cost more than $30!

They’ve both got great options for holiday wear. In addition to the leopard print sweater above, I also picked up an acid-washed hoodie and matching joggers from Scoop. They have a ton of sweater options!

LONG CARDIGAN | JEANS | SHOES (similar)

And how good is this long cardigan? I’m telling you, If you haven’t checked out Time and Tru, you need to! And go into your local store – their offerings are always so much better!

DRESS | BOOTS

And don’t worry, I didn’t leave you hanging for those two Sundays where everyone you’ve ever known suddenly shows back up in church! Their dress selection is so good and they still have some of my favorites in stock! They’ve even got some fun options for New Year’s Eve!
