I don’t know what it is about becoming an adult where Christmas just isn’t the same as it was when I was a kid. It was as if some of the magic had disappeared. Know what I mean?
But then I had my own kids. And guess what? That same magic reappeared. And it is even better. Because I get to see the magic and wonder through my kid’s eyes. I feel their excitement as they rush down the stairs Christmas morning and I love the expressions on their faces as they open up their gifts.
And this year, my boys are 4 and 7, and I feel like this is kind of a turning point for them. They’re more into the same stuff than they’ve ever been before so that meant less toddler and more grade-school-aged things.
It still made these 2 the absolute BEST to shop for – because it challenged me to look for lots of non-toy items. My boys still love the weird, the different, the creepy, and the crawly. So get ready for some tried-and-true favorites and some new faces. Plus, a few items that you guys have been bugging me to get links for!
These gifts will help develop creativity, nurture curiosity, and give these two an awesome Christmas. Plus, I’ve got thrills and guaranteed smiles built into this list!
