There’s a number of reasons why Halloween is a favorite in the Thueson household.
- Little kids in Halloween costumes are pretty much the cutest thing ever
- One more excuse to have copious amounts of candy in the house (like we needed one – proof HERE)
- Halloween ushers in the holiday season with a bang!
These 3 things pretty much happen seamlessly…usually. But this year Halloween totally snuck up on me.
Other than the tickets to Mickey’s Halloween Party that Layla and I bought months ago, I did not prep AT ALL this year. Like, nothing.
Not even a pumpkin.
Thankfully, Walmart totally came in clutch (you all know how much I dig their order online and pickup service).

And I always love to stock up on some non-candy handouts. Parents appreciate it and I think it’s a nice break from the candy overload.
Some of the things I picked up that I think will be a big hit were Pringles, Halloween party favors, and different variations of glow stick – love these because the kids can crack them while they’re out and about and wear them!
