Below, I’m dishing out the details on everything they’ve posted so far about this year’s big blowout; including when it’s set to go down, how to shop it, and what goods will be marked down — plus a few deals that you can score currently score in the meantime.
STEP 1: BE A PRIME MEMBER

After that, there’s really only one other piece of advice I have for a Prime Day newbie: Shop with a goal in mind. One of the biggest challenges for any shopper during Prime Day is that so many products will be discounted. In fact, “more than one million deals globally from top brands including Panasonic, Keurig, Under Armour, Coleman, Simple Joys by Carter’s, adidas, Lacoste, Marvel, and many more.”
And it’s easy to get caught up in the frenzy of “Buy! I need this! Can’t live without this one!” and forget that you don’t, in fact, have a money tree or a limitless bank account, and that you don’t actually need a vacuum that also doubles as a leaf blower…
Bottom line: don’t go down the Amazon Prime Day rabbit hole. Stick to my guide below and you can be in and out in no time!
STEP 2: DOWNLOAD THE APP
The Amazon App is the fastest and most convenient way to shop Amazon Prime Day. ‘Watch A Deal’ notification lets you know when your deal is about to start. Tap the options icon in the bottom menu to navigate to view your Settings. Scroll to your “Programs and Features” and tap on “Today’s Deals”, then tap the “Upcoming” tab. Find a deal that you want and tap “Watch this deal” to get notified when it starts.
Step 3: LOOK FOR DEAL BADGES
Amazon has made it super simple for us to spot the deals. Prime Day deals are badged in blue – spot them, save them, and shop them when they pop up!
Step 4: Create a wish list to curate what you want, as there will be loads of deals
I find creating a wish list ahead of time helps me stay on track. It helps me remember what to keep my eye on and how much everything costs. This will give you a head start. You’ll be able to see which deals dropped in price and which did not.
The best deals usually sell out in a matter of minutes – keeping your eye on your list also ensures that you get your picks first!
Step 5: CHECK OUT THE COMPETITION
