Hi, my name is Tara and I have a shoe addiction.
I admit it, I have a hard time passing up a good shoe. It’s the one thing that fits no matter how much your weight fluctuates. It can dress an outfit up or down. And I show no signs of stopping.
Here’s the real issue. They just keep making super cute shoes. Athletic shoes, pool slides, date-night shoes…ALL the shoes.
But I figure, if I have to suffer, you should be suffering right along with me! Misery loves company, right? Haha
So I’m showing you my recent favorites, the pool slides that are so budget-friendly you might as well own them all, and what I’m currently wearing to the gym – all from Nordstroms!

I love a good slide or strappy sandal for summer. I’m chasing kids but that doesn’t mean my wardrobe has to suffer. It just means I choose a style with a few more straps that stays securely on my feet!

Dolce Vita is a favorite of mine and this year they’ve done such a good job! They’ve actually carried the same pattern/fabric choices through a bunch of different styles. It’s awesome because I already love the print and can now wear it 10 different ways!
Birkenstock is another favorite! Their sandals are notoriously comfortable. And they’ve got options: thong, clog, no in-between-toes, etc. I love the Arizona style and have it in the saddle leather shown above as well as white, gold metallic, and just about every color of the silicon ones!
I’ve also spent a good amount of time looking for cute hiking sandals – which seems like an oxymoron but I was assured they existed. I did find a few pairs of Tevas last year that really are some of the most comfortable sandals I’ve found. And I went looking for closed-toed sandals this year for Hawaii and decided to go with these Keens which are not cute. They’re just not. BUT they are the best purchase I made for that trip! I wasn’t worried about getting my ‘cute’ shoes dirty or scuffed and it actually made the experience really fun!
Aside from my obvious love of sneakers and anything leopard print, my other favorite shoes are my workout shoes – my Adidas UltraBoosts! But that’s not all I own. I’ve put together a link with all of my favorite athletic shoes:
