Do you ever just want to quit? Just turn in your mom, best friend, or girlfriend card and peace out?
I do.
Anytime things get super crazy or Braun has been gone for a long stretch of time, especially if it happens back-to-back, I start to get a little frayed. But thank goodness for good husbands and small miracles, because when I told Braun how I was feeling this week, he surprised me with a little staycation at a local-ish hotel!
It was just what I needed. I wish I could tell you I really whooped it up but I really took this time to catch up on work, connect with myself, and get some much-needed sleep. And I also ordered 2 breakfasts this morning (the banana fosters was so yummy and I plan a repeat tomorrow), went to orange theory fitness, and had one of my girlfriends come up for a sleepover.
I basically acted like a really responsible little kid for 3 days. It was glorious.
And it gave me the time to put together this September round-up for you…so let’s get started!

Can you even with that face! This is how my month started out. You can see why I needed this mini-break, right? I mean…I love this kid and it’s a good thing, too! But it also reminded me that what happens today doesn’t have to bleed into tomorrow. But my month wasn’t all spent chained to the stove. I also escaped to the mountains with my family for one last ‘hoorah’ before school and before it gets terribly cold! I’ll be honest, it was the tent and the cute hat that convinced me that I could rough it for a weekend. Haha

What did I learn about myself during said camping? I love being clean. I love showering. And I love going to the bathroom sitting on something that flushes, made of pristine white porcelain.
