If you need a go-to recipe this year that will satisfy your sweet tooth, be the perfect topping for your toast, pancakes, and waffles, and will impress anyone you gift it to, then this is your recipe!
If I have one tip this holiday season regarding food, it’s keeping it simple! My whole goal during the holiday season is to spend less time in the kitchen and more time with the people I love. And that means that I stick to recipes we love but that are shockingly simple to make! So I partnered with Walmart to bring you one of my favorites which is a crowd-pleaser, makes an awesome neighbor gift, and is deceivingly easy to make, and to share a few more tips to make this holiday one you never forget!
1. Create Your Favorite Simple Recipes
Why do I love this recipe? It’s incredibly simple and like I said above, it will impress anyone you give it to! I have given this concoction to my neighbors as Christmas gifts many times over the years + it’s completely gluten-free! And you can snag everything at your local Walmart (including this cute Christmas set up!)
And there’s really no magic to this recipe. It’s so straightforward. Once you’ve combined your butter and evaporated milk, pour your sugars in and stir until completely dissolved! In fact, these are all ingredients I routinely pick up at Walmart or get in my Walmart+ grocery delivery.
I was asked the other day what I love about Walmart and honestly, they make shopping with them easy. I can use my phone or my computer to browse their selection and they’ve always got what I need on hand. I can add things to my cart and have them delivered while I spend more time with my family and building fun holiday memories.

2. Let your kids be responsible for creating something for your holiday gifting
Another thing I love about this recipe is that the girls are old enough now to be able to make this all on their own! With 4 ingredients, they can whip this up in under an hour and gift it to neighbors and friends.
Including them in our holiday gifting gives them an opportunity to serve others and spread warmth this holiday season. You could make this SUPER SIMPLE on yourself and grab a few assorted cookie trays from the Walmart bakery. Pair them with a heartfelt note and a simple candle or small gift.
3. Make it fun
Buy a couple of cute airtight containers (Walmart has a bunch), stick a bow on the side, and gift to your neighbors with a package of marshmallows for the perfect holiday treat!
Thank you Walmart for sponsoring this sweet post!
Cinnamon Sugar Butter Spread
Ingredients
- 1 Stick butter
- 1/2 Cup Evaporated Milk
- 1 Tbsp Cinnamon
- 2 Cups Sugar
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan melt butter and evaporated milk over low heat.
- Add cinnamon and sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved. (It's important to keep stirring until the sugar mixture is completely dissolved or you risk burning the bottom which will create white stringy/chunky thing (technical term)).
- Put in an airtight container or bell jars (perfect for gift giving). Refrigerate
- To use, put a little in a bowl and heat up in the microwave for 5-10 seconds. Super yummy to spread on toast!
